Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) is much more than just a Greek organization. It's a sisterhood built on service, scholarship, and sisterly love – a legacy that has empowered Black women for over 115 years.
As soror girls, we are entrusted with carrying this legacy forward, upholding the values of our founders, and continuing to make a positive impact on the world.
A Sisterhood Built on Service
One of the core pillars of AKA is service. From our international program initiatives to local community outreach efforts, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
Whether it's volunteering at a local food bank, mentoring young girls, or raising awareness for important causes, our commitment to service is unwavering.
Empowering Each Other Through Scholarship
AKA is also deeply committed to academic excellence. We understand the importance of education and encourage our sisters to strive for academic achievement.
Through scholarships, mentorship programs, and academic workshops, we provide our sisters with the resources they need to succeed in their academic pursuits.
Sisterhood: A Bond Beyond Measure
Beyond service and scholarship, lies the heart of AKA: sisterhood. This bond is unlike any other, offering support, encouragement, and love throughout our lives.
From the moment we cross the burning sands, we become part of a sisterhood that transcends generations. We celebrate each other's triumphs, offer comfort during challenges, and stand together through thick and thin.
Carrying the Torch Forward
As soror girls, we have a responsibility to carry the torch of AKA forward. We must continue to live by our values, serve our communities, and empower future generations of Black women.
Let us continue to make a positive difference in the world, one act of service, one academic achievement, and one sisterly bond at a time.
